A Year of Reflection and a Look Ahead
The Mark of a Yielded Life
Dearest Adoptee Family,
As we reflect on 2024, I'm filled with gratitude for your unwavering support and encouragement. This year has been a journey marked by both joy and sorrow. Through God's grace, I’ve been able to launch "The Grieving Well" podcast and support group as well as join the Faith Collective for Truth and Healing in Adoption. If you have not followed this group on Instagram, I encourage each of you to do so.
The word that resonates with me for 2025 is “yield.” Inspired by Mary, the mother of Jesus, I hope to embody these qualities:
Immediate Obedience: Responding to God's call, even when it's unexpected or challenging.
Radical Trust: Believing in God's promises, even when the future is uncertain.
Humble Submission: Recognizing God's sovereignty and our dependence on Him.
Courageous Faith: Stepping into the unknown, trusting in God's plan.
Willing Participation: Actively embracing our role in God's divine purpose.
As an adoptee, I've learned the importance of yielding to God's plan, even when it doesn't always make sense. It's in these moments of surrender that we find true peace and purpose.
